January 2006 Ministry Momentum Dear Friends of His Church At Work, Happy New Year to each of you! We at His Church at Work want to wish you a very blessed 2006! We also want to thank our friends and partners who took full advantage of our year-end Matching Grant! It is so exciting to see what God continues to do in the hearts and lives of our partner churches and how 2006 promises to bring a multitude of new ones to carry the excitement of workplace ministry to their members and communities! God continues to amaze us as we see His work in the lives of workplace believers all over the country. Join us as we seek to commission 70,000 more workplace believers this year! Perimeter represents the city of Atlanta in the Global Learning Community, a group of “city reachers” representing 12 cities across the US and globally. Perimeter was also selected to be a part of the Leadership Network’s Externally Focused Church community. Reaching out to people in the place where they spend the majority of their time is a critical component of Perimeter’s ongoing strategic focus. His Church at Work is honored to be selected to help train and empower this dynamic and forward-thinking congregation. Churches are envisioning a whole new ministry landscape for the local church--expanding to include the workplace as a strategic focus. We have seen this gap decrease significantly when the church commits to equip their members to live authentically and purposefully for Christ through their work lives. During this Worklife process, members come to better realize their value to God's work and the importance of having their relationship to God as their highest priority. In a controlled study of churches – it was found that member’s satisfaction with their church went up 58% when the church equipped those members for their Worklife. Perimeter Church, a thriving church of approximately 5000 members with a spirit of excellence in discipleship and missions, has joined the HCAW National Network of Worklife Churches. They have planted several congregations and influenced many other churches in the Atlanta area and beyond.
